JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description Job Title: Electrician – Level II (Hybrid Apprentice Position) Location: Lakewood, NY Job Type: Full-Time Apprenticeship Pay Range: $26.27 per hour Shift: Initial placement TBD; post-apprenticeship roles expected on 2nd or 3rd shift Program: NYS Registered Apprenticeship Program (8,000 hours of on-the-job training) Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Electrician – Level II for a hybrid apprenticeship role located in Lakewood, NY. This is a direct hire, registered apprenticeship position that requires the completion of 8,000 hours of on-the-job training (OJT). You will perform electrical maintenance and machine support tasks to keep industrial equipment operational. With limited guidance, you will learn to work safely with electricity and other energy sources. Upon successful completion of the program, you will earn a Journeyman’s card and transition into a full-time skilled trade role. Key Responsibilities: • Ensure Equipment Availability: Perform electrical maintenance and machine support tasks to keep equipment operational and minimize downtime. • Promote Safety: Follow Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards and ensure safe work practices. • Maintain High Quality Standards: Adhere to quality procedures and demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in your work. • Support Preventive Maintenance: Provide feedback and perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment life. • Efficient Problem Solving: Identify and reduce manufacturing constraints; solve problems and improve processes. • Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing activities to improve quality, safety, and productivity. • Effective Communication: Communicate clearly with team members and support personnel. • Personal Development: Engage in training programs that support your professional growth and align with business objectives. Education, Licenses & Certifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Must have an accredited 2-year Associate Degree in one of the following or related fields: • Electrical Design • Industrial Electrical Machine Controls/Programming • Mechatronics • Computer Science • Electrical Engineering • Or equivalent discipline • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: • Requires some work experience or intermediate-level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
