Position Summary Under minimal supervision, following prescribed guidelines, performs electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in compliance with the National Electrical Code and NFPA 70E. Designs, develops, and implements solutions for electrical systems. Provides insight and recommendations to leadership to enhance system performance and maintenance. • The hiring manager will also consider candidates for an Electrician I. Duties and Responsibilities Inspects and repairs electronic/electrical systems to prevent shutdowns and/or major overhauls. Repairs, replaces, installs, or alters systems according to trade practices and National Electrical Code with respect to the NFPA 70E regulations. Performs system design layouts that provide flexibility through structure and sizing. Plans and implements the design, manufacture, installation and/or maintenance of electrical systems and apparatus, such as electric motors, machinery controls, lighting, wiring and power systems/devices, for the generation, transmission, and control of electric power. Checks and maintains systems after installation and makes necessary changes, adjustments, and modifications according to blueprints, schematics, and manufacturers' specifications. Performs electrical maintenance, maintaining fixtures, replacing circuit breakers, troubleshooting malfunctions, and replacing defective equipment as required. Layouts and installs Data Communications and AV Cabling systems. Provides 24-hour availability, overtime, for emergency calls during designated on-call week. Continues to build knowledge of the organization and electrical infrastructure to provide training and assisting newer electricians as needed. Electricians at this level are required to possess a working knowledge of: Working knowledge of Medium Voltage Systems and 600V AC/DC Systems required.
