Maintenance Electrician

Hiring 2nd & 3rd shift Industrial Maintenance Electricians! Starting pay for this position averages $24.67-$29.82 an hour plus shift premiums. The Industrial Maintenance Electrician will install and maintain the electrical systems of the plant to provide power for machinery, lighting, and facilities. Perform all tasks with safety and quality in mind and in accordance with established procedures and process instructions. What You'll Do: • Align with local codes and safety specifications. • Train and supervise electricians in lesser classifications. • Diagnose, isolate, and effect repairs or replacement of problems in the plant electrical system. • Make emergency repairs to prevent excessive production delays. • Manage high voltage substations ensuring good condition and perform mechanical troubleshooting and repair assignments as required. • Observe extreme caution and good safety practices in servicing all plant electrical systems. • Capable of working from an elevated platform and lifting 50 pounds of weight. • Enforce necessary action to minimize delay time and enhance productivity. • Follow all safety procedures and regulations. • Perform all work with minimal instruction and secure the accurate tools for each task. • Communicate suggestions and recommend solutions to problems to provide for an efficient operation. • Approach work assignments positively and function as a team member to exceed customer quality and service expectations through attention to detail. • Exercise maximum care to protect the environment by fostering and supporting responsible operating procedures. Industrial Electrician

POSITION SUMMARY / Candidate must be able to interpret electrical engineering documents (i.e. drawings, bills of material and assembly diagrams and instructions), to construct electrical panels and control systems for various types of furnaces that SECO/WARWICK manufactures. The Industrial Electrician must be proficient with devices and components ranging from VFDs, PLCs, HMI, motors, transformers industrial control devices, and various conduit and cable tray systems for low and high voltage systems. The Industrial Electrician will typically perform all electrical construction and assembly tasks for our products. Additionally, the Industrial Electrician will assist with testing and check out, as well as equipment start-up assistance. Candidate will also handle electrical maintenance and troubleshooting tasks for facility manufacturing equipment. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / Help build, modify and update SECO/WARWICK industrial control and power systems. / Help fabricate, and install various types of wire, cable, conduit, and cable tray systems. / Help perform equipment testing and checkout activities at the factory and/or at the end user’s installation site. / Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: / Familiar with the tools and equipment of the electrical trade. / Ability to read and interpret standard electrical schematics and drawings to install, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial electrical systems. / Familiar with installation of process control instrumentation used in the measurement of vacuum, pressure, temperature, and flow. / Familiar with electrical soldering for shielded cable assemblies. / Adhere to the codes and principles of NFPA 79, UL508A and the NEC. / Familiar with the use of standard meters and test equipment. / Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to handle tasks outside the electrical trade. / Knowledge of manufacturing software and Word Processing software. Education and Experience: / Technical school or minimum two years related experience and/or training. / A minimum of three years in a similar role is preferred. Personal Skills/Attributes required for the Position: / Versatile and willing to help the manufacturing team while also putting safety as a top priority. / Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external customers. / Exceptional organization skills with attention to detail. / Ability to be proactive and manage time effectively to meet deadlines. / Detail-orientated with ability to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment. / Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. / Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Job Details: Successfully run a crew of 2 or more on residential and or commercial contracts that the company currently holds. Driving crews to complete tasks on a day to day basis.
