Position: Journeyman Electrician Department: Loenbro – Industrial Services Reports To: Electrical Superintendent / Project Manager / Area Manager Location: Nebraska (Various sites) Journeyman Electrician: Loenbro Instrumentation & Electrical is looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. This is a project position for candidates who have a passion for safety, and who have experience in a heavy industrial environment. The Journeyman Electrician will work independently or as part of a team which will be responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of industrial equipment and systems. Job Duties: • Assists existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems. • Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests. • Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements. • Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. • Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. • Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential. • Up-dates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications. • Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed. • The Electrician will follow and perform other instructions and other related duties as set forth by management. • Capable of reading and understanding overview drawings, one-line drawings, and electrical schematics. • Ability to layout conduit, cable tray, and overall jobsite installations. • Work with and train apprentices on the job. • Perform all other duties as assigned. Skills/Qualifications: • Must be a Nebraska licensed electrician or able to reciprocate. • Minimum Journeyman Skill level experience in instrumentation an industrial electrical system. • Experience in electrical and pneumatic process controls. • Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. • Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen. • Basic computer knowledge required. • Must be 18 years of age or older. • Committed to Loenbro’s core values and safety policies. Essential Requirements: • Working outside the majority of the time with potential exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures. • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors. • Exposure to areas with limited visibility and Limited working surfaces. • Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights). • Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks. • Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day. • Use of respirator if position requires. • Potential or periodic amounts of time for the following: • * Sit, stoop, crawl, stand, and kneel. • If driving is required, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability will be required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
