Industrial Communications West, a subsidiary of Viaero Wireless Technologies, is looking for a Journeyman Electrician to join our team, based in the Grand Island region. Work involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems at cell tower sites and various business locations across Nebraska. Qualifications and Education Requirements • Required: Journeyman Electrician License for Nebraska • A valid driver’s license with good driving record for past 5+ years • Ability to safely lift, push or pull material and equipment up to 100lbs (i.e. back up batteries, sakrete bags) • Willingness to work indoor and outdoor (hot and cold temperatures) • Self-motivation, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team • 2 + years of experience in a commercial or industrial environment and experience in troubleshooting and testing electrical systems including defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment using test instruments such as ammeter, ohmmeter, and voltmeter and growlers. • 2+ years of experience in completing daily maintenance checks and work assignments, general duties including installation of motors, transformer, lighting fixtures, cable tray and complete circuits according to diagram specifications and Blueprints. • Complete knowledge of all tools, equipment, and materials used to perform services on commercial electrical systems Preferred Skills • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Quick base a plus) • Flexible to travel and work long hours as necessary • Knowledgeable about state, local and NEC electrical code • Willing to perform physical labor as necessary (i.e. digging trenches) • CPR/First Aid Certification (a plus but not required) • OSHA Construction 10 Hour Certification (a plus but not required) • Must be able to see clearly, listen and comprehend, and read, speak and understand English. • Great communication skills and strong leadership qualities Additional Notes Must be at least 21 years of age, and have the ability to pass pre-employment checks, including MVR, criminal background check, and substance screen Comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance benefits (Medical, Vision and Dental), Short-term Disability, Life Insurance, free phone/service, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) with company match, daily travel per diem + paid lodging when traveling, vacation, sick leave and holiday pay. The National Electrical Code and all other applicable standards and specifications are followed.
