Industrial Electrician

Bri-Steel Manufacturing is proud to be expanding its manufacturing capabilities to Enid Oklahoma. We are a seamless steel pipe manufacturer who uses Induction Heating to expand the diameter of an existing tube to final dimensions. Throughout this well monitored process, the electrical inputs and outputs are critical to maintaining safe quality outcomes. What's an Induction Heating System? Our induction heaters convert AC line power to a higher frequency alternating current, delivering it over a specially-designed cable to a bank of capacitors and a custom-designed work coil. This combination employs the principle of resonance to create an electromagnetic field within the coil to efficiently deliver energy to a workpiece. Shift Monday-Friday occasional weekends with rotating on-call schedule Your Day-to-Day • Completing all maintenance requests assigned • Set and maintain industrial production equipment and systems for maximum safe productivity. • Support production by troubleshooting line issues. • Assemble and install all types of new or repaired electrical circuits, systems, instrumentation, and equipment, including, but not limited to; transformers, motors, regulators, controllers, valves, switches, etc. • Inspect electrical equipment and machinery, diagnose faulty operation, determine proper corrective action, document in maintenance scheduling program, and make indicated repairs. • Knowledge of voltmeter, ammeter, ground locating and other electrical tests. • Possess working knowledge of electrical distribution systems and switchgear. Must know Underwriter codes, national codes, state and local codes, company rules and regulations to comply with them. • Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside vendors. • Identify any equipment issues and bring to supervisors attention. • Identify potential equipment or capital improvements. • Maintain and monitor the preventative maintenance schedule. • Identify and manage critical spares required to maintain uninterrupted production. What you bring to the Team • Knowledge pertaining to optimizing complex electrical systems related to thermal induction power supply (rectifier, inverter, and impedance matched resonant circuit) • Strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting. • The ability to stand for long periods of time. • The ability to manually lift at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions. • The ability to execute both fine and gross motor hand movements. • The ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment. • The ability to safely and effectively work in an often-dusty work environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures (Very hot to very cold). Preferred Experience: Electrical experience Industrial induction power systems. Is current with latest types of electrical controls, starters, motors, AC/DC Drives, (PLC) Programmable Logic Controllers, (HMI) Human Machine Interfaces and industrial lighting equipment. Configure, commission, troubleshoot & start up any AC/ DC Drive, any (HM I) Human Machine Interface current, (PLC)Programmable Logic Controller. Make basic electrical prints and mark up for electrical installations. Start, stop, maintain, and help install and repair power distribution equipment. Electrical Technician

Your Job Koch Fertilizer, LLC. is looking for a motivated Electrical Technician at their Enid, OK facility. This role will perform electrical work in a manufacturing environment and work with the team to execute daily maintenance activities. This role works a 4/10, Monday - Thursday, 7:00am - 5:30pm schedule. Must be available for call outs and respond within one hour during rotation schedule. Overtime opportunities as the site needs for projects and construction. Our Team Koch Fertilizer, Enid is a leading nitrogen fertilizer manufacturing company that focuses on supplying various nitrogen fertilizer products to customers across North America. What You Will Do • Perform preventive maintenance on industrial electrical equipment up to 12.5kV (Electric Motors, Motor controls, Variable Frequency Drives, Electrical distribution, etc.) • Troubleshoot and basic root cause analysis of electrical problems in plant (up to 12.5kV) • Read/interpret technical work orders, blueprints, technical manuals, single line electrical drawings, schematics, electrical ladder diagrams, ladder logic, P&IDs, and instrument loop drawings • Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components • Document activities by providing accurate and detailed feedback utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) • Work in a team environment with fellow employees, supervisors, and managers • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures including performing proper lockout/tag out procedures • Clean all areas of responsibility to maintain a safe work environment • Troubleshoot and maintain other plant equipment • Support other maintenance activities as well as additional duties as assigned Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) • 3+ years experience with testing, troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining industrial electrical equipment Physical Requirements • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs • Push and pull up to 100 lbs • Grip strength of 60 lbs static force • Forward bend and stand • Low work including kneeling/squatting • Climb ladders and stairs • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas • Ability to be medically approved to participate in the respiratory protection and HAZWOPER programs What Will Put You Ahead • Technical or Trade School degree with emphasis in electricity • Experience interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and one lines • Experience working in an Ammonia Manufacturing Plant, Chemical Plant, Refinery, or Industrial site • Experience with Variable Frequency Drives, Protection Relays, and High Resistant Ground Systems • Working knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E • Oklahoma Electrical Journeyman License At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
