Job Summary: The applicant will have the knowledge, skills and ability to successfully layout a site and install electrical run. This will include PVC, Rigid, EMT. Able to perform job in a timely, professional, and safely manner. Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Responsible for company provided vehicle, trailer, tools, equipment and supplies • Dig trenches or running underground electrical pipe (conduit) • Load / unload equipment and material • Pull wire and install electrical services • Learn how to bend and install conduit • Clean up at the end of the day • Set pole and meter bases • Set and wire in cabinets • Set concrete foundations for cabinets • Shoveling and raking dirt and gravel • Pick up trash on site daily • Take pictures of final work and provide all turnover documentation • Must be able to climb roof tops of all types and to perform job duties from high places. • Must be able to pull own body weight plus equipment weight up roofs and vertical tower repeatedly • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, sit, and climb ladders and communication towers and work in an elevated position • Frequently required to use hand and power tools • Must have the ability to climb extended heights upwards of 200 feet • Other duties as assigned Skills: • Work with basic hand tools • Ability to lift/pull heavy equipment • Good organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written • Comfortable working outdoors in the elements while working with a great team • Ability to climb extended heights upwards of 200 feet is a plus but not required • Must pass a drug screening test and a criminal background check. • Proven ability to operate excavation equipment is a plus but not a requirement • Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe/acceptable driving record in compliance with company policy • Must be comfortable in a rapidly changing environment and adapts easily to change • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborative in style • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills • Professionalism and ability to work with other department managers and supervisors • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to interpret reports and metrics • Ability to use initiative and work efficiently with minimal supervision Education and Experience: • High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Job Classification: • Field Operations: Electrical • Non-Exempt Work Environment/Hazards: • Working in outdoor elements such as cold, hot, precipitation and wind • In proximity of heavy machinery and moving vehicles • Moderate noise level • Use of PPE • Working in elevated places such as towers • Working around and with electricity Physical Demands: • Stationary position for 8-10 hours a day • Frequently moving, transporting, positioning objects of 50 pounds or more • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffoldings, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
