Global Logistics Support Services, (GLSS), an S³ Inc. company, has an immediate opening for an Aircraft Mechanic II (Sheet Metal) to support on-going projects at Vance AFB, OK. This position has a Hire-In Bonus of $1,000. Description: Applies a combination of experience to perform the modification of the T-6A aircraft to install the Automated Backup Oxygen System. Individuals must be able to prioritize workloads and are required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks. Mechanic IIs can inspect Mechanic IIs and Is. Responsibilities: • This mechanic maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components. • Applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation. • Applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints or manufactures’ manuals. • Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts. • Requires broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair. • Must have basic knowledge of electrical theory, must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes, and sheers. • This job requires working knowledge of technical publications. • The incumbent receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks, and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records. • Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects. • May require specialization in sheet metal, electric work, avionics, or other aircraft systems related disciplines. • Must provide own common tools/tool kit. Qualifications: • Must have experience with installation of electrical related TCTO/wiring modifications installations including wiring harness installation/repair. • Airframes and Powerplants (A&P) certification with three or more years of experience is desired but not required. • An Avionics technician with extensive experience with wiring harness trouble shooting/replacement is an acceptable alternative to an Aircraft Electrician. • Experience utilizing detailed blueprints/instructions desired. We are currently searching for Licensed Journeymen Electricians to assist in the build of our Oklahoma solar site. Aircraft Electrical System Technician

In this position you will be trained to perform electrical system modifications on military aircraft. The immediate need will be as a member of our T6 modification team, however other airframes and modifications may be added as the opportunities arise. The ideal person for this role would have outstanding work ethic, attention to detail, and integrity. They would be self-motivated and once fully trained, be able to work with minimal supervision and oversight. They would also be familiar with basic mechanical skills, hand and power tools, electrical test, inspection, and measurement equipment in a manufacturing environment.
