Master Electrician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Electrician to join our manufacturing facility’s team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems within the facility, ensuring the safety and reliability of all electrical equipment and infrastructure. This position requires extensive knowledge of electrical systems, a commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment. Key Responsibilities: Electrical System Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and other components in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and facility-specific guidelines. Ensure electrical systems meet safety standards and operational needs for manufacturing equipment and infrastructure. Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards, ensuring corrective actions are taken immediately. Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues on production machinery, control panels, and other facility equipment. Use electrical testing devices such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and ammeters to troubleshoot electrical malfunctions. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Safety Compliance and Documentation: Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, to ensure the safety of the electrician and facility staff. Maintain comprehensive records of all electrical work, repairs, and preventive maintenance performed. Stay updated on local and national electrical codes and ensure compliance in all projects and tasks. Collaboration with Engineering and Operations: Work closely with maintenance technicians, engineers, and operations personnel to improve equipment performance and efficiency. Assist in developing energy-efficient strategies to reduce electrical consumption while maintaining optimal equipment performance. Equipment Management and Inventory: Manage the inventory of electrical components and supplies, ensuring all necessary parts are available for emergency repairs or scheduled maintenance. Recommend improvements or upgrades to electrical systems to enhance performance and reduce operational costs. Training and Supervision: Supervise and provide guidance to apprentice electricians, ensuring they follow safety and work procedures correctly. Participate in training sessions to educate team members on electrical safety and operational procedures. Qualifications: Licensing and Certifications: Must hold a valid Master Electrician license in accordance with state/local regulations. OSHA 10 or 30 certifications are preferred. Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of experience working as an electrician in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or lead role. Extensive knowledge of electrical codes, safety protocols, and industrial electrical systems.
