Under the general supervision of the Chief electrician, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots electronic equipment. Must be able to read and interpret electronic and electrical drawings. Maintains, services, and repairs other electrical and various mechanical equipment. Works with repair crews by spotting, isolating, and disconnecting equipment to facilitate repair work. All other duties assigned by Chief Electrician. Requires at least four years of verifiable experience as an electrician in mining or heavy industry. Must be familiar with the care and use of meters, meggering motors and cable, and troubleshooting AC and DC starters, variable speed drives, and power distribution equipment. The MCC Electrical Supervisor reports to the MCC Maintenance Manager. This supervisor must be a leader capable of directing others to meet/exceed defined goals. The Electrical Supervisor must be knowledgeable of all aspects of cement manufacturing, repair/maintenance of electrical systems (low, medium, and high voltage), and have a clear understanding of the rules and regulations affecting/governing employee safety/management. OVERVIEW: The MCC Electrical Supervisor is responsible for prioritizing, planning, and directing all electrical repair/maintenance activities throughout MCC operations while always complying with applicable safety and environmental regulations and/or MCC policies.
