Description of Job: This position is an Electrical/Electronics Captain, CSLTS III for the Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) at a Canon City Correctional Facility. Primary responsibilities include ensuring the safety and security of the general public, staff and offenders and supervising staff and operations within the physical plant of the complex. Position prepares offenders for community reentry by promoting the Colorado Department of Corrections Mission, Vision and Values while adhering to a high level of integrity and commitment. Primary responsibilities include: • Ensure safe, efficient, compliant and cost effective electrical/electronics systems and their preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance; • Ensure strict compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC) and all other applicable regulations, policy, guidelines and standards, keeping accurate and timely records; • Ensure the safety and security of facility and work sites; • Promotes a high level of performance by setting the work standard according to agency mission, vision and values.
