Summary of Position: This position is designed to perform all basic electrical work, de-energizing large mobile mining equipment according to the isolation/lockout standards, trouble-shoot electrical systems on mobile mining equipment, plant and shop facilities, install electrical conduit, and read and interpret single-line diagrams and schematic drawings. Necessary Qualifications: • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and understanding the application of mathematical and electrical formulas is essential. • Troubleshooting and repair experience with DC motors and generators. • Must have a high school diploma/GED. • PLC programming, troubleshooting and repair experience preferred. • Technical school degree in Industrial Electronics preferred. • Previous experience with large mobile mining equipment preferred. • MSHA approval for surface mine electrician preferred. • Valid driver’s license. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Works in site environments on rotating shifts with variable hours.
