Position Overview: Loenbro Instrumentation & Electrical is looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician in the WY area. The Journeyman Electrician will work independently or as part of a team which will be responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of industrial equipment and systems. This is a project position for candidates who have a passion for safety, an initiative-taker, and who have experience in a heavy industrial environment. Job Duties • Responsible for managing and serving existing accounts by analyzing work orders, planning a daily travel schedule, investigating complaints, conducting tests, and resolving problems. • Establishes service by studying system requirements, ordering and gathering components and parts, completing installation, and performing acceptance tests. • Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques, and recommending system improvements. • Ensures optimal performance of personal equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs. • Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. • Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential. • Maintains up-to-date job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications. • Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed. • The Electrician may be assigned other instructions and other related duties. • Ability to layout conduit, cable tray, and overall jobsite installations. • Work with and train apprentices on the job. Skills/Qualifications • Must be a Wyoming (or reciprocal state) licensed electrician. • White Card certification is preferred. • MSHA Certification is preferred. • Capable of reading and understanding overview drawings, one-line drawings, and electrical schematics • Minimum Journeyman Skill level experience in instrumentation and industrial electrical system. • Experience in electrical and pneumatic process controls. • Must be dependable and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. • Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen. • Basic computer knowledge required. • Must be 18 years of age or older. Essential Requirements • Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures, outside majority of the time. • Work is performed on limited or restricted surfaces. • Ability to work and maneuver in tight spaces, such as a confined space. • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors • Exposure to areas with limited visibility. • Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights). • Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time for required tasks. • If driving is required, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability are required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search. • Use of respirator if position requires. • Potential or Periodic amounts of time for the following: • Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day • Standing • Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel.
