Craftsmen Contractors is looking to hire Electrical Technicians, Electricians, Apprentices and Helpers for the Minden, La. area. This project is for a manufacturing facility that builds data centers, telecommunication enclosures, skids, buildings and steel structures for the fiber, utility and industrial markets. Starting pay rate is $16.50 - $31/hr. depending on experience. Weekly pay by direct deposit. Work schedule: day shifts Monday thru Friday and every other Saturday when needed. Job Duties: • Read and interpret blueprints. • Perform operational checks. • Install wire for complex configurations. • Bend and install conduit, rigid & EMT. • Troubleshoot, diagnose & repair. • Install complex conduit configurations per blueprint specifications using appropriate tools. • Mount electrical boxes, fixtures, and enclosures. • Stock and set up electrical wire carts. • Pull wire through conduit to create ground connections. • Install and cover receptacles and switches. Job Requirements: • Prior electrical experience or relevant coursework is required for those who are willing to pursue a career in the electrical field. • Demonstrate ability to perform multiple or semi-complex tasks with limited exercise of judgment. • Wear personal protective gear, such as protective eyewear and steel-toed boots. • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and possess a high degree of attention to detail. • Required to work around hazardous conditions sometimes which include extreme noise levels and electrical, automatic, and/or moving equipment. • Ability to read a tape measure and read blueprints. • Work in confined spaces while installing equipment. • Ability to work from a ladder. • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. • Face to face interview prior to being hired. • High school diploma or GED is required. • Pass a criminal background check. • Pass a pre-employment drug screen. • Pass a short written electrical test.
