Instrumentation and Electrical Foreman

Job Summary: I&E Foreman is responsible for leading Hurst I&E technicians in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, electronic, and pneumatic instrumentation systems used in industrial processes. The I&E foreman must be capable of leading and managing electrical operations onsite and requires a broad knowledge of industry requirements and best practices. Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate with customers to plan and schedule work within the facility. • Manages daily timesheets for Hurst I&E technicians. • Provides leadership and direction to crew including but not limited to; safety, quality, customer relations, employee relations, productivity and job costing. • Reports to project manager daily. • Responsibility for quality assurance and NEC compliance on projects. • Address issues and implement measures to improve efficiency, quality of service, workforce utilization and equipment performance of the project. • Leads Hurst I&E techs with troubleshooting and rectifying I&E issues. • Install, calibrate, and commission instrumentation devices such as sensors, transmitters, controllers, valves, and analyzers to ensure accurate measurement and control of process variables. • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on instrumentation equipment to prevent downtime and maintain optimal performance. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques. • Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and procedures while working with electrical systems and hazardous materials. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and best practices to maintain a safe working environment. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment configurations, and calibration procedures. Generate reports on equipment performance, reliability, and maintenance history to support decision-making and regulatory compliance. • Coordinate with other departments, including engineering, operations, and maintenance, to address issues and support plant operations. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and resolve problems on time. Maintenance Controls Electrician

The successful Controls Electrician will also recommend and implement process improvements, assist engineering management in project development, planning, and installation, and be a resource to all floor engineers and operations personnel. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned): 1. Design and install: PLC control systems and operator interfaces on major projects as well as smaller scale projects. Effectively maintain programming, hardware networking and communication; troubleshoot, determine causes of failure and perform corrective actions; oversee full industrial control system project implementation on both hardware and software problems 2. Project support: Support internal projects to include plant control system upgrades. Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics and parts specifications. 3. Preventative Maintenance and troubleshooting: Support predictive and preventative maintenance programs. Will be using electro-mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot, repair and perform PM's on conveyors, blenders, and other equipment used in the manufacturing process 4.
