Schedule may shift during holiday weeks. For example, if a holiday falls on a Monday, the schedule will adjust to Tuesday through Friday. If a holiday falls midweek, such as on a Wednesday, the schedule may shift to Monday–Tuesday, off Wednesday, then resume Thursday–Friday.) Position Summary: ADM is seeking a licensed, safety-focused Electrician to support our grain elevator operations in Hutchinson, KS. This full-time, hourly position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems across all facility operations. In addition to electrical duties, the Electrician may be called upon to support general maintenance or millwright work when electrical tasks are not active. This is a hands-on role that directly supports plant uptime, safety, and productivity in a dynamic grain-handling environment. Key Responsibilities: • Install, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems including control panels, motor starters, switches, lighting, sensors, and power distribution components. • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in low and medium voltage systems, including 480V 3-phase equipment, using standard testing equipment. • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on motors, drives, PLC systems, and process control equipment. • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints. • Execute new equipment installs and wiring, ensuring safe and code-compliant connections. • Utilize tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, megohmmeters, and IR thermography devices for testing and analysis. • Support and troubleshoot basic automation/PLC control systems; programming experience is a plus. • Maintain and document electrical repairs and updates within the Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including parts used and time spent. • Maintain accurate records of manuals, blueprints, replacement parts, and maintenance activities. • Conduct safety checks and regular inspections of electrical equipment, tools, and protective systems. • May assist with mechanical and millwright duties, including replacing motors, rigging equipment, or supporting conveyor system repairs. • Participate in safety meetings, audits, and training, and demonstrate commitment to ADM’s “Zero-Injury” culture. • Support housekeeping and general maintenance as needed to ensure a safe, clean, and operational workspace. • Respond to emergency call-outs to address critical equipment failures as required.
