Purpose Statement As an Electrical and Instrumentation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of our electrical and mechanical systems. You will be actively involved in routine and emergency maintenance as well as corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance, along with basic care for all related equipment. This role is for the 1st Shift. Key Accountabilities and Outcomes • Adhere to all OSHA and facility safety rules and regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment. • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices by ensuring a clean and organized work environment. • Troubleshoot, install, maintain, repair, calibrate, and test a diverse range of instrumentation, including transmitters, actuators, flow meters, sensors, encoders, and control valves to enhance reliability. • Execute preventative maintenance on electrical and metering control instruments such as control valves, transmitters, heat trace, and solenoid valves. • Troubleshoot the machine ethernet network effectively. • Oversee the execution of a preventive maintenance program on all plant equipment. • Provide prompt emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment to minimize downtime. • Read and interpret wiring specifications and schematics for the installation and repair of production equipment. • Troubleshoot PLC/Rockwell software and hardware, and implement software changes as needed. • Install, repair, and troubleshoot wiring circuits, transformers, motors, variable frequency drives, servo drives, protective devices, and more while complying with electrical codes and standards. • Utilize precision hand and power tools safely for field and shop work, including electronic and electric testing equipment. • Collaborate with other departments in planning and installing new equipment and system upgrades. • Regularly stand, reach, bend, and move throughout the facility. • Utilize close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception as required. • Meet hearing ability requirements for a manufacturing facility. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience • Ability to read and follow electrical prints accurately. • Proficient in troubleshooting 440, 220, 110 VAC, and 24 VDC systems. • Competence in using a multimeter for diagnostics. • A strong foundation in pneumatics and hydraulics. • Basic knowledge and experience with computer usage. • A high school diploma or GED is required; Technical School graduation is preferred. • Preferred 3 years of electrical experience working under a qualified journeyman electrician. • Familiarity with Studio 5000 Rockwell software and FactoryTalk View Studio is an advantage. • Understanding of Rockwell PowerFlex 525 drives is beneficial. • Knowledge of Rockwell hardware networking is a plus. • Must possess strong English communication skills, both written and verbal. • High judgment capacity is essential for this role. • Familiarity with both powered and hand tools is required. • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. • Effective communication skills are necessary to train others on newly acquired equipment.
