Position Overview: We are actively seeking a highly skilled Maintenance III - Electrician to join our industrial maintenance team. This critical role focuses on electrical system installation, troubleshooting, and repair within a manufacturing environment to ensure operational uptime and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of complex electrical distribution systems including 480V 3-phase power, transformers, circuit breakers, contactors, relays, motor starters, and disconnect switches. • Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, motor control centers (MCC), and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), with emphasis on Allen-Bradley and other industry-standard platforms. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), servo drives, and other motor control devices to optimize machine performance. • Calibrate, maintain, and repair pneumatic and electro-pneumatic control systems, including solenoid valves, pressure transducers, and electronic sensors. • Perform wiring and rewiring tasks involving conduit bending, cable tray installation, wire pulling, termination, and splicing in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and OSHA regulations. • Conduct predictive and preventative maintenance programs utilizing advanced diagnostic tools such as digital multimeters, megohmmeters (megger), clamp meters, infrared thermography, and insulation resistance testers. • Interpret and modify electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and control wiring diagrams for troubleshooting and system upgrades. • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of electrical system upgrades or retrofits. • Maintain accurate maintenance records and update CMMS (COGZ) with work orders, repair logs, and parts usage. • Safely operate powered industrial trucks and other mobile equipment to perform maintenance activities across the facility. • Provide emergency on-call support to diagnose and repair electrical faults minimizing downtime. • Train and mentor junior maintenance personnel and temporary staff in electrical maintenance best practices and safety protocols. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED required. • Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred. • Minimum of four years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting preferred. • Proficient with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and repair (Allen-Bradley RSLogix/Studio 5000 experience highly desirable). • In-depth knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems, motor control circuits, industrial automation, and instrumentation. • Experience working with VFDs, servo motors, and electronic drive troubleshooting. • Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA regulations. • Skilled in using precision electrical test equipment and diagnostic tools to identify and correct faults. • Valid driver’s license required at hire and throughout employment.
