Description Job Summary: The primary duties of the Electrician are to ensure the safe and efficient installation of backup/supplemental power distribution generator equipment within the specifications of the project. Our projects require an experienced Electrician who is proficient working on three phase systems. The Electrician will be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of his/her crew members along with the completion of each project in accordance with forecasted timelines. Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills): • High School Diploma or equivalency. • Valid Driver’s License. • Minimum two years’ experience as an electrician working with generators, switchgear, and other 3 phase systems. • Possess an understanding of codes and standards that guide the emplacement of backup and supplemental power distribution units. • Travel required (90%+), must be willing and able to drive company vehicle and/or fly commercially if necessary. • Ability to read construction drawings / blueprints highly preferred. • Journeyman’s License not required but preferred. • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English. • Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes. • Knowledge of using hand tools safely and properly. Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to ensure code compliance while identifying hazards, defects, and remedies to adjust or repair. • Responsible for safe terminations and equipment tie into electrical backup systems. • Maintain safe and healthy work sites by following company standard operating procedures, complying with legal guidelines, and code requirements. • Proficiently learn all aspects of the installation and contribute experience to refining processes to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs. • Properly communicate with Senior Staff to ensure each project is installed safely and in a timely manner. Physical Demands and Work Environment: • Must be able to lift 50 pounds. • Travel required (90%+), must be willing and able to drive company vehicle and/or fly commercially if necessary. • Must be able to stand or walk for 3-4 hours at a time. • Must possess the manual dexterity to operate hand tools. Work environment may include, but are not limited to the following: Exposure to weather in varying climates, exposure to noise intensity levels, exposure to energized electrical equipment, exposure to overhead hazards (crane & rigging), and exposure to heavy machinery.
