Electrician - Water/ Wastewater Systems

Job Summary: As an Electrician for our water/ wastewater systems throughout Florida, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment and systems critical to the plant's operation. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the reliable and efficient functioning of electrical machinery, control systems, and automation components in a dynamic and challenging industrial environment. An electrician's license will not be required. Key Responsibilities: • Electrical Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment, including motors, pumps, generators, control panels, circuit breakers, and other related components. • Troubleshooting: Identify electrical issues, diagnose faults, and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime and ensure optimal plant performance. • New Installations: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical systems, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards. • Performs construction, maintenance, and repairs on structures, equipment, and facilities for the water and sewer collection and distribution system. • Reads blueprints, diagrams, and sketches. Troubleshoots electrical circuits in control panels and other equipment. • Performs records maintenance duties, including work orders, materials, and supplies utilized, cost estimates, labor required, maintenance & fuel logs. • Reports any detected deterioration, repairs, and maintenance needs to supervisor. • Ensures availability of emergency power supply from generators and performs maintenance checks. • Responds to emergent water and sewer maintenance and repair issues outside of normal duties as needed. • Electrical Safety: Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines when working on live electrical systems and maintain a safety-conscious approach throughout all tasks. • Electrical Documentation: Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance, repairs, and inspections to facilitate historical data tracking and support future decision-making processes. • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns, collaborating with other team members to mitigate risks and restore normal plant operations. • Calibration and Testing: Conduct calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems, ensuring they are functioning accurately and efficiently. • Compliance and Quality: Ensure all electrical work is carried out in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and company policies to maintain the highest level of quality and safety. • Continuous Improvement: Propose and implement innovative solutions to optimize electrical systems, increase efficiency, and reduce energy consumption. • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other departments, including maintenance, engineering, and operations, to ensure seamless coordination and cross-functional support. #ZR Job Listings - ClearWater Solutions Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program or relevant vocational training is preferred. • Valid electrician's license/certification (local/state level) is preferred but not required. • Proven experience as an Electrician in an industrial setting, preferably at a water/ wastewater treatment plant or similar facility. • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, control circuits, PLCs, motor controls, and power distribution systems. • Proficient in interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation. • Strong understanding of electrical safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and hazard identification. • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces, as required. • Willingness to work flexible hours and be available for on-call duties when necessary. • Current driver's license with acceptable driving record
