Residential Service Lead Electrician

We, at Sunshine Sparks Electric, are looking for the best Licensed or Journeyman Level Electrician in Florida. This is a Service Technician Position. We want the best! If you are great at troubleshooting, installing, and customer service we want you on our team. Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated self starter with pride and extreme ownership. This is a customer facing position. We are seeking candidates who are positive and personable, well-groomed, well spoken, and willing to undergo and pass a background check and drug test. We are primarily a residential service electrician with some light commercial. Service experience is a plus not a must. QUALIFICATIONS: - Journeyman Level within our Service Area - Clean Driving Record and Current Valid Driver's License - Ability to pass Drug Test and Background Check required - Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with homeowners and address their concerns - Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting, working in confined spaces, and challenging weather conditions and temperatures - Critical thinking and adapting to workplace stressors - Understanding of electrical codes and regulations - Proficiency in troubleshooting and installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems - Experience with iPad and Service Software (i.e., Service Titan) RESPONSIBILITIES: - Electrician will inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair in compliance with all electrical codes - Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial electrical issues in compliance with all electrical codes - Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components, using test equipment and hand tools to determine the malfunction and correct the problem - Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system - Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit, moving and lifting heavy objects, and crawling through small spaces such as attics PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS - Must be able to lift 75 pounds or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces - Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis for extended periods of time - Must be able to work in tight or high places such as attics, ladders, and tunnels - Must be able to carry heavy items up and down stairs - Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions including, but not limited to, extreme heat and rain - Must have mental skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, and the technical vocabulary to understand direction and adhere to established procedures - Must be willing to adapt well in the face of workplace stressors such as customer service complaints BENEFITS & PERKS - Competitive pay - Company van with paid fuel, maintenance, and repairs - Medical benefits - 13 Paid holidays - Closed on Sundays - Paid vacation days - PTO Company DescriptionWe are a family owned and operated electrical company, proudly serving our customers since 2014.
