Journeyman Electrician – Commercial Construction (Jacksonville, FL) Position Summary: The Journeyman Electrician performs installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on commercial new construction projects. This position works under the supervision of an Electrical Foreman and ensures all electrical work meets project specifications and code requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Install conduit, wiring, panels, lighting, and electrical devices per blueprints and specifications. • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and components. • Ensure all work complies with the NEC and local building codes. • Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. • Assist foreman with material takeoffs and layout as needed. • Mentor and support apprentices in skill development. Qualifications: • 4+ years of commercial electrical experience required. • Current Florida Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent preferred. • Strong understanding of NEC and commercial installation practices. • Proficient in reading blueprints and electrical diagrams. • Ability to work independently or as part of a team. • OSHA 10 certification preferred. • Must have valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
