Commercial Electrician

Elite Construction is seeking a Lead Commercial Journeyman Electrician to assist with our many commercial projects in the Valdosta/ Thomasville/ Tifton area. Must have a driver's license and a car (no exceptions). Hard working and dependable need only apply!! LEAD Commercial/ Industrial Electrician We are looking for a team player. • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. • Trouble-shoot all electric systems • Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes. • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes • Direct and train electricians to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures • Place and bend conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes. • Comprehend, read, and blue prints, specifications, work site directions • Practice and comprehend safe work procedures. • Run a commercial job site • Have knowledge of job site safety • Keep track of any work requested or completed beyond scope/contract and reporting it to supervisor before any extra work is performed • Must have a clean driving record and valid license • * INSTALLING NEW WIRING VIA MC CABLE OR CONDUIT • INSTALLING RECEPTACLES, LIGHTING SYSTEMS AND FIXTURES • * Strong communication skills and neat appearance • Must be able to run a jobsite and a crew with no assistants. • Must not have a DUI in the last 5 years • Must have a valid Driver's License • Must have reliable transportation PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Repetitive motion of shoulders, arm, hands, wrists, and fingers. • Lifting and maneuvering heavy objects up to 50lbs. • Standing for long periods of time without sitting. • Exposed repetitive walking, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling squatting, climbing, kneeling, reaching over the head and twisting. General Summary: This position is responsible for creating detailed drawings required for Prefabrication. Drawings will include underground duct bank and racks, electrical room layouts, IT, data room layouts, overhead conduit routing, seismic bracing layout, light fixture layout, concrete slab embeds, in-wall devices layout, and various support methods. Position Requirements: • License: Journey Level or Master’s License preferred. • Education: High School Graduate or GED. Technical Electrical Degree preferred. Electrical Apprentice Program Graduate preferred. • Experience: Two to Three years of field experience. • Revit and AutoCAD experience preferred. • OSHA Construction Outreach Training - 10 Hour. Working Conditions: • Job requires working in all weather elements; heat, cold, rain, or snow, depending on job location and time of year. • Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Johns). • Work in restricted or confined areas such as switch gear-rooms, manholes, utility tunnels and crawl spaces. • Must wear all personal protective equipment as required • Must be able to regularly work 40 hours per week plus overtime as required.
