Senior Electrical Reliability Engineer

Location: Bishop Overview The Senior Electrical Reliability Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability and maintainability of electrical systems and equipment at the Celanese Bishop manufacturing plant. Additionally, the candidate would work closely with the project engineering group in development of design and installation specifications and participate in commissioning plans. Knowledge of medium and high voltage systems is a key requirement for this role. Responsibilities • Develop and implement maintenance and reliability strategies for electrical systems and equipment. • Participate in the design and installation of new or modified electrical systems and equipment. • Perform failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to identify potential risks and reliability issues. • Plan and execute testing and performance evaluations to assess equipment reliability as it relates to electrical infrastructure. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve reliability issues and improve equipment performance. • Develop and maintain electrical system documentation and records. • Ensure compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. • 5-10 years of experience in electrical reliability engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment. • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment, including motors, VFD’s, generators, transformers, and switch gear. • Working knowledge of medium and high voltage required.
