Electrical Service Technician / Electrical Journeyman

We are seeking an Electrical Journeyman / Technician to become a part of our team! You will be performing clean, safe and up to code work for our commercial tenant improvement projects as well responsible for troubleshooting and repairing of electrical equipment and devices. Responsibilities: • Install meter sections, panelboards, transformers, power and lighting for our commercial and industrial facilities. • Read and understand engineered drawings. • Perform routine preventative maintenance and infrared testing. • Adhere to all NEC codes and standards. • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years previous experience in commercial Tennant Improvement projects. • Must be a certified journeyman electrician. • Must be self motivated. • Must have a good driving record. • Strong ability to handle physical workloads. • Ability to prioritize and multitask. • Deadline and detail-oriented. Apprentice and Journeyman Electrician We are looking for Electrical Apprentice and Journeymen electricians for long term employment to join our team in Costa Mesa to work withing Orange County area. Responsibilities: Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems as needed for residential custom homes, remodels, and service work Communicate with office staff and project managers regarding, schedules, scope of work as well as be able to keep good records of work completed. Under general direction, Econolite Systems, Inc. is seeking to hire a full-time IMSA & NEC certified Electrician for various Traffic Signal Maintenance projects in Ventura County through Southern California (Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside). The Electrician will be expected to work on Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) related projects. Specific types of work include conducting Preventative Maintenance checks and repairs on Traffic Signals, Flashing Beacons, Solar Radar Feedback signs, Street Lighting and other electrical components as required by the customer. DUTIES • Willingness and capability to work on traffic signals street lights and other Intelligent Transportation Equipment, using a bucket truck • Inspect, install and maintain electrical components • Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices such as traffic signal circuits, cabinets, transformers, circuit breakers, services, streetlight luminaires, CCTV, communications equipment, • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools • Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code • Performs other duties as required and assigned QUALIFICATIONS • Current/Active NEC Certification (Required). • Experience in Fiber Optic splicing, termination, and installation. Knowledge of utilizing fiber optic splicing equipment and splicing methodologies. • Must have a clean driving record. • IMSA certifications preferred • Ability to exert moderate physical effort, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 50 pounds) • C10 Electrical contractors license helpful, but not required. • Fiber Optic Association Certification preferred, but not required BUSINESS TRAVEL & HOURS • 100% travel to project locations and company facilities across the various counties within the Ventura County, San Bernadino, Orange, Riverside and Los Angeles. • Day shift; however, on-call will be required to meet the business needs. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Must be able to stand, walk, squat, and bend at the waist for extended periods of time • Safety sensitive position—will be required to work at busy traffic intersections • Required to drive up to five hours a day; ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds • May work in various, changing outdoor weather conditions, i.e. rain, heat, snow, etc. PRE-EMPLOYMENT All candidates who accept employment will be subject to a background investigation and drug screening. COMPENSATION This position is compensated according to the Prevailing Wage rates, which are determined by the county and work classification in accordance with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Pay ranges for this position are influenced by factors such as role, experience, and location. The displayed pay range represents the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hires and is separate from the prevailing wage rates applicable to the role. Actual compensation within the range is based on factors including location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The non-prevailing wage pay range for this full-time, non-exempt position is $22.00 - $25.00 per hour, plus benefits.
