Job Title: Certified Electrician Department: Operations Classification: Non-Exempt Pay Range: Per DIR Regulation Reports to: Superintendent Job Summary: The Certified Electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems, ensures code compliance, troubleshoots issues, and collaborates with project teams while managing tools and safety protocols. Duties & Responsibilities: • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components, including wiring, circuit breakers, outlets and lighting fixtures. • Perform electrical inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations. • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, making necessary repairs or adjustments to ensure proper operation. • Collaborate with project managers, other operations members, and construction crew members to ensure electrical work is completed according to project specifications and timelines. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical installations. • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment on job sites. • Ensure that all electrical installations meet or exceed local, state, and federal electrical codes and regulations. • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation details and any changes made to plans/specifications. • Maintain and manage tools and equipment in good working condition. • Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly used and stored and report any malfunctions or safety concerns. • Other duties as assigned by Management. Competencies: • Proficiency in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair. • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices. • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Education and Experience: • Valid Electrical licensing. • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed electrician, with a focus on public works construction. • Additional certifications related to electrical work are a plus. Physical Requirements: • Work is primarily outdoors and exposes the employee to varying weather conditions, as well as working in confined spaces that require crawling or maneuvering in small areas. • The employee may need to stand/kneel for long periods while working on installations or repairs. • Many tasks require climbing ladders or scaffolding to reach high areas for installation or repairs. • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently stretching, reaching, extending arms to use tools or perform tasks in uncomfortable positions. • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. • Employee needs to be aware of and use personal protective equipment (PPE). • The physical nature of the job can be demanding and requires good physical fitness, stamina, and the ability to handle various physical tasks safely. Maintenance Electrician

Job Description Arconic is currently in search of Maintenance Electrician to join our Kawneer in Visalia. $28/hour is base pay for this position. Responsibilities SUMMARY:Troubleshoots and performs routine, electrical and preventative maintenance on all plant production machinery, utility equipment and facilities by performing the following essential duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES included but not limited to the following. • Adhere to all Kawneer rules and regulations. • Utilizes the preventative maintenance system to record and schedule maintenance requests orders. • Consider personal safety first in all situations. • Performs specialized tasks within the individual mechanic's skill area; such as fabrication, assembly, welding, burning, cutting, electrical, and pipefitting. • Directs work of helpers as required • Observes pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, pumps and plant machinery to locate causes of trouble. • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. • Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. • Repairs or replaces defective parts. • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. • Lubricates and cleans parts, machinery, and equipment. • Starts devices to test their performance. • Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. • Initiates purchase order for parts and machines. • Stores materials such as metals, tools, or chemicals in designated areas. • Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all facility electrical systems to board level. • Installs, wires and programs controllers. • Runs conduit and pull wire to schematic specifications. • Maintain and repair main distribution panels, sub-panels, and machine control panels. • Proficiently operate all production equipment in the plant. • Work with and program hardware for the PLC systems, D/C motors and drives, A/C motors and variable frequency drives. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. • One to six years related work experience is preferred. • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, blue prints and electrical schematic diagrams. • Knowledge of Nation Electric Codes preferred. • Ability to write reports and correspondents. • Ability to effectively communicate with others. • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. • Ability to deal with and respond to problems in standard work situations. • Able to work independently. • Ability to obtain a mobile equipment license, forklift certification, side-loader certification, electric pallet jack certification and overhead crane certification are preferred. • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, test equipment, meters and gauges. • Ability to gas, MIG, TIG and arc weld in a proficient and safe manner. • Requires basic skills in mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and understanding of 110V, 220V and 480V power and control systems. • Must have own tools and locking tool chest. • Basic computer skills preferred.
