This is an onsite position, with a 9/80 schedule and alternating Fridays off. Typical shift is is M-F 4am-1:30pm. This position may require emergency and scheduled overtime, weekend, and holiday work. The Sanitation Districts are a public agency and engineering firm that offers A mission to protect public health and the environment A team committed to new technologies, training, and education Compensation of $7,476 – $9,289 monthly Company paid tools, meters, uniforms and $225 boot allowance Experiential pay with 5.5% step increase after 6 months and annual salary reviews Excellent benefits including company paid healthcare, PTO; CalPERS (state pension plan); tuition reimbursement; student loan reimbursement; 3% deferred comp match JOB DUTIES INCLUDE Directly contributing to daily operations of state-of-the-art composting facility Installing, maintaining and repairing instrumentation, computer process control systems, high voltage electrical equipment, and distribution systems Developing skills with a variety of technologies and equipment such as: 21KV medium voltage distribution, 480V electrical distribution, Caterpillar Emergency Diesel Generators, have wide exposure to Instrumentation, SCADA System, Allen Bradley PLC’s, VFD’s, conveyor systems, motors of all types, and lighting systems JOB REQUIREMENTS Valid driver’s license Completion of electrical apprenticeship program 4 years’ experience with installation, maintenance and repair work on instrumentation, computer process controls, and electrical equipment and systems 3 years’ experience + 12 units of college course work, or completion of one year of a two-year degree or certification program in instrumentation, electronics or electrical technology, or a closely related field 2 years’ experience + completion of a two-year degree, or certification program in instrumentation, electronics or electrical technology, or a closely related field Ability to lift over 50 lbs. Ability to pass job-related pre-employment physical, as well as a reference check, background check, DMV report, and a drug and alcohol test.
