Renewable Solar, Inc. is a rapidly growing solar energy service provider with a need for an experienced Electrical Foreman to support a growing workload. In this role, you will directly manage Electrical site builds ranging from 100 Amp to 4000 Amp and PV systems ranging from 100kW to 5MW and higher. Position Overview: The Electrical Foreman is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and managing electrical installations on construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all codes, specifications, and project requirements. The Foreman will supervise a team of electricians and apprentices while maintaining high standards of workmanship and productivity. Core responsibilities: · Plan, schedule, and oversee daily electrical operations on job sites. · Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and project specifications. · Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local regulations, and all OSHA requirements. · Manage and mentor apprentices, promoting skill development and safe work practices, per WECA Standards. · Coordinate with project managers, contractors, inspectors, and other trades to maintain project timelines. · Implement and maintain accurate records for the RSI QA/QC Program. · Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and safety gear. · Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions. · Perform hands-on electrical work, as needed, to support project deadlines. · Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce site safety policies. Requirements of the Position: · Valid California State Journeyman Electrician license. · Minimum of 5 years of electrical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. · Valid CA driver’s license. · Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices. · Extensive knowledge and experience with 277/480V, three-phase electricity. · Experience in the installation of electrical service equipment from 400-4000 amps. · Knowledge of the PGE Greenbook standards and SCE Electrical Service Requirements (ESR) standards for installing or upgrading utility underground or overhead services. · Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. · Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. · Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. · Proficiency in using electrical tools, equipment, and technology. · First Aid/CPR and OSHA 10/OSHA 30 preferred. Supervisory Controls: The Electrical Foreman is a critical piece of the RSI Construction team and will report to the Electrical Division Manager. The Electrical Foreman is a non-supervisory role but has tactical day-to-day control of RSI personnel (crews) actively working on their respective job sites. The Electrical Foreman receives support from the Electrical Superintendent and Senior Electrical Foreman, in the form of personnel, equipment, and materials - with the Electrical Division Manager retaining supervisory responsibility for the crew personnel. Compensation: · Hourly Rate: ($40-$60)/hour base rate, overtime and prevailing wage. · Hours are typically Mon – Fri, 5:00AM to 2:00PM, with occasional travel as required. · Overtime is authorized when required to complete work on time. · 401k: up to 5% match after an initial 180-day probationary period. · Health Plans: RSI sponsored Blue Shield plans available after an initial 90 days. · Vacation/Sick: Two weeks (10 days) of paid time off after 180-day probationary period, 1 week (5 days) of sick time/year. Job Description We are currently looking for a Journeyman Electrician to perform and supervise the new installation of power distribution (agriculture and commercial) to include transformers, underground and above ground conduit work, switchgear, AC/DC inverters, main panel upgrades, and electrical equipment to include single/three phase 120/240 VAC, 120/208 VAC, 480 VAC, medium voltage and up to a 3000 amp service. Duties And Responsibilities • Perform and supervise new installation of low to medium voltage power distribution to include transformers, underground and above ground conduit work, switchgear, AC/DC inverters and electrical equipment. • Interface with and complete construction required for utility interconnection. • Interpret complex electrical schematics and blueprints to plan work scopes, install requested improvements, troubleshoot, and correct problems. • Work with Electrical Engineering team to assist in design and refinement of plans. • Work with team lead, construction manager, and site super intendents to ensure on time delivery of equipment. • Supervise and train RSI Apprentice Electricians • Properly use Personal Protective Equipment Skills And Qualifications • Journeyman Electrician certification. • Experience in the field with low to medium voltage underground work, power distribution and utility interconnection. • Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks. • Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work in field conditions and able to work on your feet for long periods of time. • Be able to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently. • Demonstrated ability to work with others and in a team environment. • Preferred basic ability to work with and communicate over computer-based systems and Microsoft products. • Must have and maintain a valid drivers license. Work authorization: United States (Required) Supervisory Controls Journeyman Electricians will report directly to the team lead, construction manager and site superintendents. Journeyman Electricians are expected to work 40-45 hours/week, with core hours being Monday-Friday 6AM-2PM, and available to support non-standard overtime hours as necessary. Summer Saturday work is frequent, especially in cases where contract schedule needs to be maintained. Evaluation Factors Journeyman Electricians will be primarily evaluated based on their ability to successfully complete electrical work on time and to the standards expected in the relevant electrical code. Pay Scale Journeyman compensation will be at market rates, based on qualifications, currently estimated between $75-$80/hour.
