Job Description Job description PRIMARY FUNCTION: To be acquainted generally with theory and operation of electrical equipment and with maintenance, repair, adjustment, testing, and installation of such equipment. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: Hand tools, power tools, test instruments and circuits, power and transportation equipment, pipe threaders, safety equipment, motor and controller test equipment, etc. MATERIALS: Electrical hardware and supplies, apparatus, lubricants, coolants, insulation, replacement parts, wire, solder, tape, conduit, fitting, switches, relays, etc. WORKING PROCEDURE: • Receives and competently follows prints, diagrams, instructions and orders. • Carries out duties of maintenance, repair, adjustment, testing, installing, dismantling, cleaning, lubricating, cooling, and heating all electrical equipment and circuits. • Maintains, repairs, adjusts, installs, replaces and cleans motors, motor controllers and circuits. • Makes periodic reports to supervision on condition of equipment. • Works on “hot” lines as required. • Installs conduit, fittings, switches, controls and fixtures, and wires and connects all types of electrical equipment. • Uses safe and orderly methods and proper equipment and safety devices. • Does electrical trouble shooting and analyzing. • Makes emergency repairs so that plant “downtime” is at a minimum. • Works in shop or field. • Keeps record of work in log form • Keep work areas clean. • Crane Repairpersons who bid or move to the General Electrician occupation may be reassigned by the Company to do Crane Repair work as needed. Experience: • Industrial / Manufacturing Journeyman Electrical knowledge: 5 years (Required) Job Type: Full-time Salary: From $37.55 per hour • Candidates with Commercial experience only will not be considered* Relocation Relocation is authorized for this position. This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
