Remedy is excited to partner with a well-known manufacturer in the Finger Lakes Region as they seek to fill an Industrial Electrician position. Internally referred to as a General Electrician. This person would be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Please see below for more details! Essential functions for this Industrial Electrician will include: • Install, Inspect and test electrical lighting, signal, communication and power circuits. • Diagnose, install, maintain and repair all facility and operating electrical circuits, equipment and appliances using hand tools, power tools and testing instruments. • Isolate defects in wiring, motors, switches and other electrical equipment using testing • Replace faulty switches, sockets and other elements of electrical systems • Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures. • Mount motors, motor starters, transformers, VFD’s and lighting fixtures in to position and complete circuits according to diagram or verbal specifications. We're looking for a Industrial Electrician with the following background profile: • Equivalent to high school plus 2-3 years of apprenticeship or trade training. • 2 years of a technical school / or degree • Journeyman status in a recognized electrical union preferred (i.e. IBEW) • Working knowledge of most recent NEC 70 code. • 5 plus years of hands-on experience in industrial electrical installations, trouble-shooting and maintenance. This role plays a vital part in the day to day operations of this manufacturing facility.
