John Mills Electric is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Electrical BIM Operator to join our growing electrical team. In this role, you’ll assist our electrical designers and project managers in creating accurate, coordinated Building Information Models (BIM) that support our electrical construction and design projects. Key Responsibilities • Work with project teams to develop and maintain electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit and other related software. • Produce detailed 2D/3D layouts for electrical power, lighting, and communication systems. • Coordinate BIM models with mechanical, structural, and architectural disciplines to resolve design conflicts. • Update and manage project documentation and drawings per company BIM standards and client expectations. • Support field and office staff with accurate, real-time model data and drawing revisions. • Assist in implementing BIM workflows that improve accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration across projects. Qualifications • Associate’s degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, CAD Drafting, or a related field. • Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, and other design modeling software. • Basic knowledge of electrical systems, components, and industry standards. • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality-driven work. • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment. Preferred Skills • Experience with BIM 360, ACC, Navisworks. • Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and construction documentation. • Internship or prior experience in MEP or electrical design projects. CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION (CPR) REQUIREMENTS: No CPR required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Stands, walks, crouches, kneels, climbs, carries and lifts (50 to 75 lbs.); handles and manipulates tools and equipment. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: • Familiarity with all building codes. Ability to read blue prints, technical manuals and reports. • Knowledge of construction and procedures. • Ability to interact with a variety of people including employees, physicians, patients, outside agencies, contractors, etc. • Must hold a valid driver's license and have clean driving record. • Must be trustworthy in safeguarding confidential information.
