We are seeking a dedicated Construction Project Engineer to join our team. About the Role The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining project schedules, managing submittal approvals, coordinating materials, handling RFIs, managing change orders, and supporting preconstruction activities. Key Responsibilities • Maintain and update project schedules, ensuring all milestones are met and deadlines are adhered to. • Manage the submittal approval process, ensuring all documentation is reviewed and approved in a timely manner. • Coordinate the delivery of materials, ensuring timely arrival and proper storage on-site. • Prepare, submit, and track RFIs to resolve any project-related queries or issues. • Manage change orders, including documentation, approval, and implementation, ensuring all changes are accurately reflected in project plans. • Collaborate with the preconstruction team to provide support during the planning and design phases of projects. • Oversee project administration tasks, including documentation, reporting, and communication with stakeholders. • Coordinate project close-out activities, ensuring all punch list items are completed and final documentation is submitted. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field. • 2+ years of experience within a general contractor in commercial construction. • Experience performing RFIs, submittals, close-out procedures, and project scheduling. • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite. Preferred Skills & Qualifications • 1-4 years of commercial construction experience preferred. • Strong understanding of construction management and blueprint reading.
