Jobs To Be Done · Supervise work at a larger jobsite or at several smaller projects, ensuring successful completion of the build process. · Travel within the Oregon and Washington bi-state area to support longer-distance projects beyond daily commuting distance. · Develop and maintain good rapport with subcontractors, clients, city officials and inspectors, while advocating and negotiating solutions that benefit the client, company, and project. · Deliver projects on time, ensuring all contract obligations are satisfied. · Maintain workplace safety, cleanliness, and security at jobsites. · Accurately interpret plan specifications to ensure proper selection and install of materials. · Help plan field operations, including subcontractor, labor, equipment, and delivery scheduling. · Line out scope and expectations and review subcontractors’ and OGLLC laborers’ and carpenters’ work daily; handle any related issues to company and client expectations. · Maintain compliance with all applicable building codes; ensure inspections are scheduled and passed. · Maintain site documentation including current plans, specifications, and site photos of each phase/milestone in the construction process. · Manage field aspects of project budgets, schedules, and quality control. · Understand and communicate important project decisions and changes to site personnel and ensure changes are tracked by project team; provide regular updates on project status. · Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve clients and increase the goodwill and profit of the company. · Self-perform and/or manage others completing various carpentry and construction tasks while maintaining other site responsibilities. · Assist the project team with subcontractor/supplier invoice review; authorize payment of subcontractors upon thorough inspection of their work. · Build estimates and schedules in conjunction with the Project Manager for potential projects.
