Job Responsibilities: • Studies specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare a projects layout. • Constructs buildings according to specifications, including windows and doors, and finishing interiors. • Determines dimensions and materials required. • Shapes and/or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws. • Assembles and fastens materials to make framework using hand tools, wood screws, and nails. • Builds or repairs doors, frameworks, floors, or other fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter's hand tools, or power tools. • Erects framework for structures. • Installs structures or fixtures, such as windows, and door frames using carpenter's hand or power tools. • Verifies trueness of structure using a carpenter's level. • Inspects work to ensure it meets quality standards and makes necessary adjustments to meet specifications. • Adheres to safety protocols and maintains a clean workspace. • Assists in other duties within the carpentry manufacturing plant, including the following: • Erector/Siding. • Painting/Trim • Press/Rafting • Ramps/Accessories. • Small Structures.
