Job Summary The Carpenter, Framing position is based at the Leonard Mt. Airy, NC building manufacturing plant, with operations in the U.S. and has overall responsibility for the construction of metal and wood buildings. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager and does not have direct reports. Job Responsibilities • Studies specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare a projects layout. • Constructs buildings according to specifications, including windows and doors, and finishing interiors. • Determines dimensions and materials required. • Shapes and/or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws. • Assembles and fastens materials to make framework using hand tools, wood screws, and nails. • Builds or repairs doors, frameworks, floors, or other fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter's hand tools, or power tools. • Erects framework for structures. • Installs structures or fixtures, such as windows, and door frames using carpenter's hand or power tools. • Verifies trueness of structure using a carpenter's level. • Inspects work to ensure it meets quality standards and makes necessary adjustments to meet specifications. • Adheres to safety protocols and maintains a clean workspace. • Assists in other duties within the carpentry manufacturing plant, including the following: • Erector/Siding. • Painting/Trim • Press/Rafting • Ramps/Accessories. • Small Structures. Airy, NC, with operations in the U.S., and has overall responsibility for performing maintenance and repair tasks on storage sheds manufactured by Leonard. This position reports directly to the Manager, Repairs & Maintenance, and does not have direct reports. Job Responsibilities: • Travels to company and customer locations to repair portable sheds as assigned. • Performs routine maintenance tasks and repairs on storage sheds including replacement of damaged components, fixing leaks, and repairing structural damage. • Conducts regular inspections of storage sheds to identify potential issues and ensure they meet quality standards. • Diagnoses and troubleshoots issues with storage sheds. • Understands the root cause of structural problems and determines the best solutions. • Communicates with customers to understand their repair needs, provides updates on repair progress, and ensures their satisfaction with the repair work. • Follows all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. • Uses personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintains a clean and organized workspace.
