Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Carpenter Helper to join our team. This role involves assisting experienced carpenters in various construction and renovation projects. Responsibilities • Assist carpenters with framing, trim carpentry, and fixture installation tasks. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. • Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements. • Perform concrete forming, plastering, and masonry tasks as needed. • Support in the installation of cabinets, doors, siding, and roofing materials. • Participate in water damage restoration and mold remediation efforts. • Help with heavy lifting and moving materials on construction sites. • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency. • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time. Requirements • Previous construction site experience is preferred. • Familiarity with carpentry techniques including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, and woodworking. • Knowledge of construction estimating and blueprint reading is advantageous. • Experience with power tools, hand tools, and heavy lifting capabilities. • Skills in caulking, stucco application, flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing, electrical work, or metal stud framing are beneficial. • Ability to perform fabrication tasks including rebar installation and assembly work. • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship. • A positive attitude with the ability to work well within a team setting.
