Carpenter / Helper

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Carpenter / Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and construction practices. This role involves assisting with a variety of tasks on construction sites, including framing, trim work, and restoration projects. The Carpenter / Helper will work closely with experienced carpenters to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities • Assist in the construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. • Perform frame carpentry, trim carpentry, and cabinet installation as directed. • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to execute projects accurately. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks. • Participate in concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry work as needed. • Engage in restoration activities including water damage restoration, mold remediation, and plastering. • Carry out fixture installation, door hanging, siding application, and roofing tasks. • Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects including flooring installation and tile laying. • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements • Proven experience in carpentry or related construction fields is preferred. • Familiarity with construction estimating, heavy lifting, and the use of hand tools and power tools. • Knowledge of woodworking techniques, caulking methods, stucco application, and metal stud framing is a plus. • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively. • Previous experience in the restoration industry is advantageous but not mandatory. • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed. • Willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to carpentry and construction practices. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
