Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team for our apartment complexes maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be capable of working on diverse projects, including residential and commercial construction. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can read blueprints, fabricate structures, and perform restoration tasks with precision. Duties • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. • Restore and renovate existing structures, ensuring quality craftsmanship. • Perform masonry work as needed to enhance structural integrity. • Execute construction painting tasks to complete projects. • Conduct water damage restoration to bring affected areas back to their original condition. • Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements. • Engage in frame carpentry for walls, roofs, and other structural components. • Fabricate custom pieces as per project specifications. • Install fixtures such as cabinets, doors, windows, and countertops with precision. • Install trim in areas as well Qualifications • Proven experience as a Carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects. • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings. • Knowledge of various carpentry techniques including frame carpentry and fixture installation. • Familiarity with masonry work is a plus. • Experience in water damage restoration is advantageous. • Ability to perform construction painting tasks effectively. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. • Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of the job. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and fabricating high quality custom displays for auto shows, trade shows, as well as lobbies and museum properties. Client is also interested in candidates that are less experienced with a desire to learn the carpenter skills and have the passion to grow and learn.
