Atlas Sign Industries is seeking a skilled Crate Builder to construct durable and custom crates for transporting commercial signage. This role involves measuring, cutting, assembling, and reinforcing wooden crates to ensure signage is safely secured for shipping and delivery. The ideal candidate has experience in woodworking, carpentry, or packaging and is comfortable using power tools, working with various materials, and following safety standards. Key Responsibilities: • Build custom wooden crates and package solutions for commercial signage transportation. • Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials using saws, drills, air nail guns, stencil machine, scales, calculator, cutting knives and adjustable measuring instruments. • Ensure crates are sturdy, secure, and meet shipping specifications for safe transport. • Reinforce crates with foam, padding, or other protective materials to prevent damage. • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and packaging requirements. • Prepare shipments, boxing, crating, packaging, and loading and then verifying shipments against orders • Operate forklift to move crates and ensure contents arrive to destination without damage Qualifications: • Experience in woodworking, carpentry, or crate building preferred. • Proficiency with hand and power tools, including saws, drills, hammers and nail guns. • Ability to read and follow blueprints or work orders accurately. • Must have table saw experience. • Computer knowledge preferred for emails and printing package lists • Works well in team environment • High School diploma or equivalent • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to up to 50 to 100 pounds.
