The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and fabricating high quality custom displays for auto shows, trade shows, as well as lobbies and museum properties. Client is also interested in candidates that are less experienced with a desire to learn the carpenter skills and have the passion to grow and learn. Experience Required: • Work with all types of materials such as laminate, MDF, plywood, Formica, etc. • Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic or other materials. • Read a tape measure. • Read and follow blue prints and schematics. • Layout, cut and assemble wood components. • Operate a variety of wood working machines as well as hand power tools • Attach parts and subassemblies together to form completed units, using glue, dowels, nails, screws and/or clamps. • Build, repair, install items such as cabinets, counter tops, shelving, moldings and partition walls. • Install hardware such as hinges, handles, catches, drawers, pulls and slides. • Must possess hand tools. • Must be able to work OT as needed. • Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, lift, get inside crates, sand on their feet 8+ hours a day. Preferred Qualifications: • One must be a go getter that is ready and willing to work. • Well versed in various finished work such as laminate, melamine, and moldings. • Ability to lead a crew is a plus. • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. • Ability to work in a team environment.
