Job Summary: Snyder & Associates General Contractor is seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in commercial construction projects. You will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and finishing structures and fixtures according to specifications and building codes. Key Responsibilities: • Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and other materials • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and building plans to meet client requirements • Construct building frameworks including walls, floors, and doorframes • Install windows, doors, staircases, and trim work • Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently • Ensure work is performed in compliance with building codes and safety regulations • Collaborate with other construction professionals such as electricians and plumbers • Maintain a clean and organized job site • Follow project timelines and meet deadlines • Following & executing directions from superintendent/supervisor Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program preferred • Proven experience as a carpenter in construction • Proficient in using electrical and manual tools and measurement equipment • Ability to read technical documents and drawings • Good understanding of basic math and geometry • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various conditions • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Working Conditions: • Full-time position with potential overtime depending on project needs • Work may take place indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions • Exposure to dust, noise, and heavy machinery Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday • Overtime • Weekends as needed Work Location: In person
