Job Title: Maintenance Technician Location: Gardnerville, NV Pay Rate: $18/hour Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM We are hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and maintenance of public buildings, parks, and surrounding grounds in the Gardnerville area. This is a hands-on role responsible for general cleaning, minor repairs, and ensuring that facilities are safe, clean, and functional for the public. Position Summary San Diego State University’s Facilities Services is looking for a Laborer-Parking Maintenance to perform a full range of general manual labor and support the SDSU community with preventive maintenance. Key Qualifications • General knowledge of simple hand tools and their use. • Ability to read and write at a level appropriate to the duties of the position; follow verbal and written instructions to ensure safety; perform regular strenuous manual labor; and safely move heavy items in excess of 50 pounds. • Prior experience at a similar higher education environment, or a large multi-building facility environment preferred. • Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle preferred. Compensation and Benefits Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $3,680 per month. Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
