Finish Carpenter We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finish Carpenter. The Finish Carpenter is a highly skilled and detail-oriented tradesperson responsible for the final, visible elements of a new construction or renovation project. This role requires exceptional craftsmanship, precision, and an understanding of various materials and techniques to create aesthetically pleasing and functional finishes. The Finish Carpenter works closely with Superintendents, other trades, and clients to ensure that all finish carpentry aspects meet the highest standards of quality, design specifications, and client satisfaction. The Finish Carpenter will play an important part in constructing the up-and-coming neighborhoods in the region. Job Responsibilities and Duties: • Measure, cut, and install various types of trim, molding (baseboards, crown molding, casing), and wainscoting. • Install doors, door frames, and associated hardware (hinges, knobs, locks) • Install windows and windowsills, ensuring proper sealing and insulation. • Install stair railings, balusters, and newel posts. • Install decorative panels, wall coverings, and other architectural elements. • Build and install custom cabinetry, shelving, mantels, and built-in units. • Perform light framing, drywall, and other general carpentry tasks as needed to prepare for finishes. • Inspect finished work for defects, imperfections, and adherence to design specifications and building codes. • Perform touch-ups, repairs, and adjustments as necessary to achieve a flawless finish. • Handle and store materials properly to prevent damage and waste. • Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively. • Provide expert advice on finish carpentry options and solutions.
