Maintenance Specialist IV As a key member of the facilities team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and systems across the district. This position requires advanced-skilled work experience in multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and mechanical flow systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, be able to perform duties with minimal supervision, and have the ability to plan, schedule, and direct activities of subordinates. Key Responsibilities Include: • Performing electrical repair and maintenance duties, including installing, adjusting, repairing or replacing electric lights, motors, heaters, generators, transformers, switchboards, and other electrical apparatus. • Operating electrical power generating plants and maintaining the electrical shop and operating electrical equipment. • Performing HVAC duties, including operating, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, water treatment, ventilation, and air compressors equipment. • Maintaining, inspecting, diagnosing, and making emergency repairs to steam, LPG, natural gas, water, refrigeration, air, and oil distribution systems. Requirements include a High School Diploma or Equivalent, completion of a formal apprenticeship (4 years), or Vocational School or College Certificate/degree in the specialized area, or specialized training equal to 4 years in two or more of the building trades. A minimum of 4 additional years of experience in at least two areas of specialization is required.
