Carpenter (Full-Time) $33.00/HR

Job Summary: This position is responsible for safely performing rollercoaster track repairs, building and infrastructure repairs, facility inspections; as well as fabrication of signage, furniture, and structures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Repair buildings, structures, signs, furniture, and miscellaneous items to ensure a safe and efficient operation Inspect structures, queue lines, stairs, and buildings and repair any noted safety hazards to ensure the highest standards of safety for our guest and employees Ensure specifications set by ride manufacturers, corporate policies, and state regulations are complied with and documented appropriately · Inspect rides and attractions daily. Perform required repairs and document all hazards as they are identified · Fabricate and install signs, stairs, furniture, walls, and structures as assigned · Keep all daily repair logs and journals current and accurate of maintenance performed · Inventory carpentry supplies and inform leadership of needed materials · Keep all work areas clean and free of debris · Perform all other duties assigned Skills and Qualifications: · Must have at least 2 years of related experience and be able to work well in a team environment · Applicant must have strong knowledge of rough and finish carpentry as well as drywall installation. Must have the ability to use these skills with pre-established guidelines to ensure the safe and efficient condition of all buildings, ride/slide structures, signs and other park facilities · Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays · Must be able to troubleshoot clearly, calmly and safely in the presence of guests, co-workers and park management in a fast-paced environment · Must possess a valid driver’s license · Computer literacy. Strong knowledge of all Microsoft applications · Must have tools and equipment to perform required duties and skills as defined above Physical Requirements: · Required to stand, walk, and climb repeatedly · Must possess normal to average corrective hearing · Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the primary job duties, including climbing and working at heights up to and in excess of 100ft, crawling and working in confined spaces and lifting up to 100 lbs. Must be able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures. Must possess the physical dexterity to operate hand tools and motor vehicles · Must possess strong safety sensitivity & ability to work with many different types of devices Qualifier · Level 1: Applies general skills and 2 years’ experience · Level 2: Applies skills and special knowledge with typically 3+ years of experience · Level 3: Applies full specialized skills and knowledge with 5+ years of experience · Level 4: Applies expert level of knowledge, skills with 7+ years of experience Other Functions: All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole. Qualifications • Three years of concrete finishing or related work experience. • Understands and conveys basic English commands, questions, and instructions regarding commercial construction. • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist. • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to use carpentry math to calculate measurements. • Owns the tools required of the Concrete Finisher position. • Commits to and meets all scheduled attendance and production deadlines. • At least 18 years of age. Carpenter (Entry Level) $21.50/HR

Participate in the repair and maintenance of park rides and facilities using standard carpentry and construction methods. Essential Job Duties:  Work as part of assigned crew performing rough and finish carpentry work as well as other facility repairs  Perform daily, weekly, monthly inspections, and routine preventative maintenance on the Joker roller coaster  Interpret and follow work orders and/or verbal instructions in order to complete assignments  Troubleshoot repairs and construction problems to determine best work method  Make a variety of repairs to buildings, roofs, fences, gates, walls, flooring, doors, stairs, carpet, fixtures, etc.  Build various items as assigned: shelves, framing, enclosures, fences, ramps, stairs, storage units, cabinets, etc.  Perform take offs for various projects  Adhere to all departmental and company safety policies; wear appropriate safety equipment as required  Communicate daily to department management the progress of assigned tasks  Assist in other Maintenance and Construction Trades as needed  Other duties as required Minimum Qualifications:  Should possess a thorough operational understanding of carpentry procedures and methods as well as a working knowledge of building codes  Must possess a working knowledge of the safe use of hand and power tools and large power equipment including table saw, drill press, band saw, etc.  Must be able to read, write and understand English  Must possess a CA valid driver's license  Must be able to follow oral and written instructions  Must be able to read blueprints and interpret rough layouts or sketches, Must possess basic math skills  Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, able to work varied schedules to include weekends, holidays, and overtime as required by the operational needs of the Park  Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to safely perform the job duties; must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, kneel, squat, twist, push and pull and lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.; must be able to reach overhead  Must be able to safely perform work functions at heights in excess of 100'
