In this challenging and rewarding role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding communities by ensuring that buildings meet essential safety standards. About the Position: We are seeking an experienced building inspector to join our team, where you will be responsible for conducting thorough site inspections to verify compliance with relevant building codes and regulations. Responsibilities: • Inspect new constructions, additions, and modifications to existing buildings to ensure adherence to building codes and regulations. • Engage with diverse stakeholders, including the public, contractors, designers, and property owners, to communicate complex building issues effectively. • Analyze and interpret building plans, specifications, and codes to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions. • Collaborate with others to resolve complex problems and provide guidance on code requirements and alternatives. • Provide expert advice on building requirements and respond to inquiries from various parties. Preferred Qualifications: • A minimum of three to five years of experience as a building inspector is desired. • Holding certifications in ICC, DSA, OSHPD, and CASp is highly beneficial. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to make sound judgments when enforcing building codes.
