Your Role: • Install, maintain, and repair solar electric systems in compliance with design specifications and electrical codes. • Act as site team-leader during installations, ensuring efficient, safe, and quality work with adherence to Verogy’s high standard of installation, best practices, and regulatory requirements. • Conduct site assessments to determine system requirements and address potential challenges. • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project plans and timelines. • Perform electrical wiring, conduit bending, and equipment installation for solar PV systems. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to solar electric systems, including inverters, wiring, and electrical components. • Conduct commissioning activities, including string testing, performance testing, and system diagnostics, using electrical testers and other necessary tools. • Perform electrical safety checks and system integrity tests as required during commissioning and post-installation. • Utilize and learn technology platforms such as Procore, MaintainX, AlsoEnergy monitoring platform, SolarEdge, and other monitoring platforms to support system performance, maintenance tracking, and reporting. • Stay current with the capabilities of these platforms to ensure accurate data collection, system monitoring, and proactive maintenance. • Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and regulations throughout all phases of solar installations. • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project. • Stay abreast of industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices. • Provide training and guidance to junior team members as needed. • Communicate effectively with clients, project stakeholders, and team members. • Adhere to all OHS&W requirements. What You’ll Bring: • 5+ years of experience as an Electrician with a focus on C&I Solar PV installations. • E1 or E2 electrical certification. • Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and components. • Familiarity with solar PV technologies, inverters, and energy storage systems. • Ability to interpret electrical and construction drawings. • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards. • Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
