Plant Engineering Technician - 1st Shift

Responsibilities: • The plant engineering technician works closely with all plant engineering personnel in support of improved equipment and process reliability as well as efficient and cost effective use of plant resources. This position requires the incumbent to prioritize and organize multiple activities with minimal supervision and direction. A solid background in mechanical and electrical systems as well as training in maintenance reliability theory is crucial to the success of the plant engineering technician. The ability to learn and effectively use various software programs including AutoCAD and the company’s EAMS system is required. This position develops and improves the preventive maintenance tasks for equipment throughout the plant. • Apply industrial maintenance skills and knowledge to install, maintain, and repair plant systems and equipment. • Trains industrial maintenance technicians on plant equipment and reliability procedures. • Develops preventive maintenance procedures for all new and existing equipment entering the plant. • Supports maintenance work planning. • Develops new predictive maintenance tasks. • Performs other plant engineering tasks as assigned • Plans and coordinates plant asset rebuilds Minimum Qualifications: Technical associate’s degree and at least 2 years industrial maintenance experience or at least 4 years’ experience in the industrial maintenance field. Working knowledge of and capability to successfully troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical and mechanical systems. Verbal and written communication skills necessary including basic computer proficiency. Good organizational and time management skills. The ability, expertise, and willingness to train other maintenance personnel. Preferred Qualifications: 5-10 years in the industrial maintenance field Ability to organize, schedule and execute equipment rebuilds Pay Rate - Based on experience and qualifications (Range $29.50 - $41.25/hour ) Shift Hours - Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm OT as needed At Century Foods International we manufacture and market dairy proteins and nutritional products under private label and contract manufacturing agreements for the foods, sports, health and nutritional supplement industries.
