HX5 is currently seeking a Mechanical/Systems Engineer for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Support Equipment and Vehicles Division (AFLCMC/ROZ) at Robins AFB, in Warner Robins, Georgia. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Support Air Force Weapon systems’ lifecycles from development to sustainment and provide technical guidance to Integrated Product Teams (IPT) relating to Operational Safety, Suitability, & Effectiveness (OSS&E). • Contribute to Integrated Master Plans (IMP), Systems Engineering Detail Schedules (SEDS), Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), test plans and other documents/reports. • Evaluate engineering proposals and participate in technology updates, configuration boards, and failure analysis to enhance system reliability and maintenance. • Assist with technical planning and analyses for weapons systems, including systems integration, cost and risk assessments to ensure supportability and effectiveness. • Define system requirements, evaluate designs/proposals, research solutions, conduct functional analysis/trade studies, and oversee testing and evaluation. • Collaborate with government agencies and various external parties to conduct analyses, manage risks, and support the integration and application of mechanical engineering principles in the development and maintenance of weapon systems and their components. Education and Experience: Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: • Master’s or Doctorate Degree from an ABET accredited program in a related field and ten (10) years’ relative experience, five of which must be in the Department of Defense (DoD). • Or… a Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited program and twelve (12) years’ relative experience, five (5) of which must be in the DoD. • Systems and/or Integration engineering experience is highly desired • Experience with Test engineering is highly desired Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours. Other Position Requirements: • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position. • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation. • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire. • Must be able to travel, including air travel.
