Senior Manufacturing Engineering Technician - 3rd Shift

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineering Technician on the 3rd shift in our climate-controlled manufacturing area, you’ll work with your own tool box (provided by IDEXX). You will have your own assigned desk, computer and cellphone. Our manufacturing is a dry plant and boiler-free environment. It’s a medical device facility, it's very clean - you won't get dirty! Details: • 3rd Shift • Monday to Friday • 9:30pm - 6:00am Benefits: • Shift differential $3/hour • $35.50/hr base pay with flexibility depending on skills and experience • Paid Time Off • 401K Matching • Discounted Stock Purchasing • Yearly Merit Increases • Yearly Bonus • $1000 credit to HAS account • Safe location in a modern environment What you’ll need: • Your skill set includes experience in troubleshooting AC and DC electrical systems, as well as experience with motion control, conveyors, motors, pneumatics, sensors, and with PLC’s (Allen Bradley controllers / Epson and Fanuc Robots experience is a plus) • You can disassemble and re-assemble and troubleshoot complex mechanical systems • You have 5+ years of experience working in a technical/Industrial Manufacturing Maintenance and repair capacity • You'll be able to work overtime and/or on the weekends, if there is a business need. What you’ll do: • You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all manufacturing equipment, managed through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) • You will troubleshoot and repair complex electro-mechanical systems including vision guided robots, motors, pneumatic pick and place, precision liquid dispensing, ultrasonic welding, and cam / indexer driven equipment • When working to solve problems you will use root cause analysis, and recommend corrective action and you will analyze and compile engineering data to draw conclusions • Your day-to-day activities will include working with engineering and production support to ensure the safe, efficient, and productive operation of the manufacturing equipment Why IDEXX? Packaging Engineer I

Description Currently hiring for an exciting opportunity as a Packaging Engineer! This is a pivotal role which touches every product taken to market, working with customers in category / platform management, with responsibility for supporting the packaging development for new and existing products. Criteria/Requirements: • To deliver innovative, cost effective packaging solutions to the business which minimize cost, add value to the customer and show strong progress on sustainability for company and stakeholders. • To understand and strive continually to improve the capability of existing packaging and packaging equipment to better meet customer and end-user requirements • To recommend and support packaging development programs that reduce distribution cost or damage, or provide competitive advantage • To establish and maintain relationships with packaging suppliers to maintain an up to date knowledge of packaging and packaging equipment developments. • To understand and communicate the impact and relevant detail of North American legislation Technical Knowledge: • Ability to design corrugated, carton board, paper wrap and film structures • Ability to conceptualize test/experiments to generate relevant data • Knowledge of and experience with industry standard test procedures for packaging materials and packages. • Specific understanding of packaging processes • Understand correlation of final art to package design • Awareness of applicable packaging laws and regulations • General understanding of material supplier's manufacturing process • Knowledge of company and customer distribution requirements. • Knowledge of industry trends and procedures related to packaging materials and technologies. Skills & Qualifications Required: • A Bachelor Degree in packaging, engineering, business, or related discipline • 3 years of related experience are desirable. • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, prioritize and support projects on a self-directed basis. • Demonstrated ability to perform in a team-oriented environment is essential. • Expert level with TOPS palletization software required Skills & Qualifications Preferred: • ARTIOS CAD • Degree in Packaging Experience Level Intermediate Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
