Location: Tifton, GA (100% Onsite) As the Mechanical Engineer, you will designs fabricate, modify and evaluate complex mechanical and electro-mechanical components, sub-systems and systems. may also provide leadership and guidance to lower-level employees. • Prepare design specifications, analyses and recommendations for presentation and approval. • Technical responsibility for planning, organizing and conducting technical projects or phases of projects involving design and development. • Work with Manufacturing team and Production team on solving the production issues • Review the design and Prototype with cross functional team. • Coordinate the efforts of drafters/designers, engineering technicians and machine shop personnel as required by assigned projects. • Conduct independent technical investigations involving the origination or modification of material. • Optimize product designs for performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability. • Flexible and able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following: • Bachelor's degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • At least 4 years of related experience. • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. • Hands on Experience working in the factory. • Experience with analytical and CAD software. • Experience with SAP and PLM. • Requires knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. • Knowledge of refrigeration or HVAC systems and/or equipment is a plus. • Knowledge of electronic controls, including application, operation, and troubleshooting is a plus. We are flexible with this role being either Level II or Level III. The compensation range is approximately $74,000 to $119,500, depending on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and education. In addition, the engineer provides direct advisory support in the design, fabrication, modification and evaluation in support of manufacturing operations such as machining, metal forming, tube bending, brazing, assembly and material handling. Duties include, but are not limited to: • Prepare plans, process specifications and procedures, production aids and assembly fixtures, conduct MRP support studies, factory cost work standard development and assignments of similar complexity. • Compile and evaluate test and production data, prepare technical analysis, and recommend manufacturing methods and processes required to meet design objectives on new or improved products and/or processes. • Provide production floor and assembly support in technical matters relating to assembly drawing interpretation, Engineering Change Notices, rework, manufacturing difficulties and specifications. • Conduct analysis or tests pertaining to the development of new methods, materials, processes or standards and provide recommendations accordingly. • Coordinate with other technical support personnel. • Assign work to engineering technicians and machine shop personnel as required. We are open to this position being a level I - level III. The compensation range for this position is approximately $64,000 - $120,000 and will be based on the candidate's qualification, experience, and education.
