Maintenance Mechanic 1

Pay Grade: MECH Applicants must satisfy job qualifications including work authorization, residence and/or language skills for the country in which the job is located unless Company-sponsorship is specifically stated as available. Job Description Provides maintenance support to plant equipment, systems, and building. Performs a variety of recurring and non-recurring tasks/functions. These tasks/functions may involve different processes to test, troubleshooting, renovate, overhaul, replace, as well as performing preventive maintenance on standard mechanical / electrical systems and housekeeping; in accordance with the daily schedule prepared by the Maintenance Planner or during off shift coverage. Run minor mechanical or electrical projects. • Perform general facility equipment maintenance on a daily basis, according the Maintenance schedule, for mechanical/electrical equipment • Perform general facility equipment basic troubleshooting and repairs on a daily basis, as needed, for mechanical equipment • Perform any emergency repair activity assigned by the Maintenance Planner or the Maintenance Supervisor. • Perform equipment calibrations Job Description (continued) • Stay overtime to support emergency repairs or complete a scheduled assigned task • Provides off-shift plant support as part of the on-call maintenance rotation schedule within six months of starting the position. • Develop and execute minor mechanical or electrical projects • Create work orders using the Computerized Maintenance Management System • Use historical knowledge and data as the basis for sound decision making • Support the Maintenance Planner to maintain all PM records for compliance with state and federal permits and regulations • Participate in other work groups as requested Qualifications • 1 - 3 Years' experience as an industrial mechanic. • Electrical troubleshooting and installation are not required but preferred. • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices. • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills. • Good communication skills, both written and verbal. • Proficient in using Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). • Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
