The responsibilities of the Maintenance Master Mechanic include but are not limited to the following: • Safely perform general mechanical work as required including construction, repairs, modifications, inspections, and troubleshooting. • Mechanical job assignments include rebuilds to OEM specifications and tolerances, repair, precision alignment and replacement of pumps, blowers, compressors, alignment, bearings, piping, valves, cranes & rigging, heat exchangers, refrigeration systems, hydraulic systems, boilers, steam systems, screw conveyors, pressure vessels, storage tanks, and other equipment. • Must have a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and solving problems with mechanical equipment. • Possessing knowledge of plant machines, pumps, piping and tools, including their uses, repair, replacement and maintenance. • Apply safety and shop fundamentals to power and hand tools, OSHA safety standards. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent. • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the performance of maintenance and/or construction of mechanical equipment. • Journeyman papers or equivalent education and experience in mechanical fields are required.
