At ATW, an Engineering Technician is responsible but not limited to: Tooling Fabrication • High level fabrication skills using different materials (tool steel, aluminum, etc.) and different types of welding (Mig, Tig, Stick). • Deciphers engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding of tooling . • Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. • Brake press and plasma table operations. Product Launches • The goal is to ensure that product launch dates are met (tooling wise). • Travel to all company facilities & install/upgrade & maintain tooling. • Check parts for tooling validation. • Correct and coach as needed- welders and leads. • Knowledge of trailer manufacturing. • Knowledge of welding equipment/ Install welding equipment. • Must be able to work overtime and some weekends as required on short notice. Other • Weld Shop PPE. • Assist Robotic Automation projects as needed. • Forklift/Manlift Operation. Qualifications Job Qualifications • Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner. • Experience with hands-on prototyping (fabrication, welding, etc.) and designing and building tools, jigs, and fixtures. • Robot operator experience preferred • Minimum 5 years welding experience or AWS certified • 2-3 years in industrial technologies preferred
