Job Summary: CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in MEP Consulting Engineering. This position will work with a team of engineers to design the mechanical aspects of energy efficient buildings for various clients. Desired Experience: • 1-6+ years of experience • EIT or PE Certificate • Experience with Revit/AutoCAD • Experience in MEP Design Responsibilities: • The position is responsible for managing projects, being involved in the design of the heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and plumbing systems of buildings for the purpose of bidding and construction. Position Summary: Determines design requirements and produces customer drawings and shop fabrication drawings based on customer requirements, engineering specifications, and quality standards. Duties & Responsibilities: • Uses 2D & 3D CAD equipment/software and integrated manufacturing software to prepare/modify routine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, and sketches & diagrams, according to customer requirements, engineering specifications, and quality standards. • Uses 2D & 3D CAD equipment/software and integrated manufacturing software to prepare/modify bills of materials, and buyout parts order list according to customer requirements, engineering specifications, and quality standards. • Uses 2D & 3D CAD equipment/software and integrated manufacturing software to prepare/modify inspection requirements, according to customer requirements, engineering specifications, and quality standards. • Uses 2D & 3D CAD equipment/software and integrated manufacturing software to prepare/modify shop notes/instructions according to customer requirements, engineering specifications, and quality standards. • Reviews job files to determine appropriate customer design requirements; and ensures the accuracy and completeness of jobs as they progress through the design process. Travels to PEBCO’s manufacturing facility to perform inspection of, troubleshoot and resolve problems related to the design of PEBCO products as necessary to maintain production schedule and customer delivery requirements.. • Formulates and specifies proper sizing of electric, pneumatic or hydraulic actuation devices for PEBCO products; estimates weight of fabricated parts. • Compiles hardcopy documentation as part of job packet for filing and fabrication and attaches documentation electronically to job file • Assists Sales & Marketing Department with drawings and parts to timely meet customer needs during the sales process. Assists/fills in for other employees/departments as needed. • Maintain related skills and knowledge through training and corporate communications.
